Vintage Coffee Cafe has taken up residence in a classic, coastal cottage at 219 Simmons St. in Mount Pleasant and is now open for business.

Vintage Coffee's fare includes an array of espressos, coffees, chai and tea drinks and breakfast from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch also will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Our signature menu item is the Vintage Breakfast Sandwich which, along with Cinnamon Bun French Toast, Roasted Vegetable Hash, Curried Chickpea Sandwich and Grown-up Grilled Cheese, to mention a few, will certainly become a local favorite,” Vintage Coffee chef Brandy Svec said.

The coffee shop will feature beer, wine and an upscale tapas-style menu on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until 10 p.m.

The coffee shop boasts a family-friendly, private outdoor space in the back of the property complete with ample seating, parking and a newly refurbished antique playground truck. That space is also the location of Sweet Lulu's Bakery's truck.

Vintage Coffee Cafe is owned by Brian Piesner, who also owns Coastal Crust wood-fired pizza trucks.
