German auto equipment maker opens Greenville site

German firm Kirchner Konstruktionen, which specializes in the planning, design, simulation and commissioning of equipment for the automotive sector, plans to launch its first United States operations in Greenville.


German firm Kirchner Konstruktionen, which specializes in the planning, design, simulation and commissioning of equipment for the automotive sector, plans to launch its first United States operations in Greenville.

“Kirchner Design is excited to be a part of the automotive manufacturing sector rapidly expanding within the Southeastern region of the United States," Christopher Henry, Kirchner Design Inc. managing director, said. 

The company will make a $1 million investment in South Carolina that will create 30 jobs in the next five years.

Kirchner was established in Weingarten, Germany in 1990. The company is still headquartered there and operates three subsidiaries in Germany.

The Greenville office will be in the historic Kent Court Building at 25 E. Court St., Suite 202, and will serve as the company’s U.S. headquarters. The company began operating in July and is hiring. To apply, email info@kirchner-des.com.
