The Brandon Agency, a marketing communications firm based in Myrtle Beach, has acquired Tennessee-based brand development firm KMT Creative Group, both companies announced Tuesday.
“The acquisition offers both agencies significant advantages,” Brandon Public Relations Director Paul Hughes said. “It opens up increased opportunities for us in healthcare, waste management, retail shopping centers, retail development, casual dining, destination marketing, outdoor apparel and equipment and industrial markets.”
It also gives Brandon strategic positioning in most of the southeastern U.S.
“Moving forward it is our objective to become one of, if not the leading integrated marketing communications firms in the southeast, and eventually the country,” Hughes said. “We want this acquisition to be a stepping-stone to attract larger, national brands where we can showcase our expertise and achieve amazing results for our clients.”
KMT, in turn, benefits from having integrated services they previously could not provide in-house. Hughes said this would help KMT achieve “the next stage in their evolution.”
And KMT’s portfolio in the healthcare industry and service sector will add to Brandon’s own, which includes Southern Tide, CrestCom and HTC.
Brandon expects of KMT what it expects of all the offices in the Brandon family: to provide best-in-class integrated marketing communications that exceed expectations and produce the desired business results.
“The sky is the limit for us," Hughes said. "We have already hit the ground running integrating the teams together, discussing our enhanced capabilities with KMT’s clients, as well as generating interest from new prospects. We are excited about the opportunities ahead.”
