The Independent Advisor Alliance (IAA), of Charlotte, North Carolina, said on Wednesday that it is now affiliated with Compass Investment Advisors, LLC, of Summerville, South Carolina, IAA said on Wednesday.

Compass founder Bryan Mise said his company specializes in the development of financial plans for families, military and government officials, and business executives. Mise said his decision to affiliate was based on IAA's ability to connect with its clients on a closer level and that being a part of IAA will improve what Mise's firm will be able to accomplish for its clients. The firm consists of Mise and Client Services Manager Chrys Rogge.

“IAA members are independent-minded entrepreneurs focused on creating successful practices that aim to provide lasting value for themselves, their families and their clients," Robert Russo , founder and CEO of IAA, said. "They value independence for the many choices it provides, from enabling them to be selective in the type of clients with whom they work, to deciding how to brand their businesses and best nurture individual client relationships.”

Mise graduated from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and earned a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation.

“We are excited to welcome a young adviser who is already so successful to our team and look forward to working together as we grow,” Russo said.
