Consulting firm Whole Building Systems recently announced that President and CEO M. Dennis Knight was elected to the board of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers as a director at-large.
Whole Business Systems, which serves the commercial, governmental, educational, commercial and historic preservation sectors, is based in Charleston, South Carolina.
“Dennis Knight has worked tirelessly throughout his career to support ASHRAE's mission to advance the science behind sustainable building design, construction and operation," Current ASHRAE President Tom Phoenix said. "His is a prime example that it is our people, our passion and our performance that will take ASHRAE to the next level.”
Knight presently serves ASHRAE as a fellow and distinguished lecturer, as well as the chair of ASHRAE's Building Information Modeling (BIM) Multidisciplinary Group and annual Energy Modeling Conference.
“I am a true believer that the world is quickly moving from 2D to 3D and beyond," Knight said. “ASHRAE is committed to providing its members with the tools and educational opportunities for professional growth as technology innovation continues to happen at lightning speed. I am sincerely grateful for this honor and look forward to continuing to serve ASHRAE and its members around the world.”
Knight will begin his term this month and will serve until 2018.
