MEDCare Urgent Care earns national accreditation

Physician-directed, privately owned MEDcare Urgent Care of South Carolina recently earned accreditation from the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA).

"The UCAOA accreditation speaks to the tireless effort and commitment to excellence from our entire team at MEDcare Urgent Care," Dr. Radwan Hallaba, CEO of MEDcare Urgent Care, said. "Each day, in Anderson, Spartanburg, Columbia and Charleston, MEDcare Urgent Care employees are working to elevate the patient experience and change the way health care is delivered. This recognition is a direct reflection of their diligence and pursuit of making a difference in communities all across South Carolina."

Cindi Lang, a registered nurse with the ACAOA Accreditation Committee, agreed.

"This accreditation affirms MEDcare Urgent Care's commitment to providing quality care, focused patient safety and excellent clinical outcomes," she said.

In January, MEDCare Urgent Care became the first - and only - independent urgent care facility in South Carolina to achieve The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation.

"This has been a very busy year for our MEDcare Urgent Care team," Dr. Joseph Pawlik, chief medical officer for MEDcare Urgent Care, said.
