The South Carolina Women’s Business Center (SCWBC), a program within the Center for Women, recently launched a new program for the state's female entrepreneurs called “Mastermind Exchange."
The program’s first event will be hosted 6-8 p.m. on July 14 at Local Works, a Lowcountry Local First event in Charleston. The event will include food and beverages. For more details, go to www.c4women.org/scwbc.
The purpose of the event is to unite experienced entrepreneurs with beginner entrepreneurs to foster networking connections among Mastermind groups. The overall goal is to encourage growth among female entrepreneurs in the Charleston area.
The center will establish various stations around the room. Each station will discuss an individual facet of topics related to business, and attendees will rotate through the displays to learn and network.
For the first hour of the event, participants will give advice concerning their individual areas of expertise at each station. The second hour will be spent receiving advice about various business struggles or problems they face.
"The goal is for business owners to swap advice, walk away with valuable insights and build new connections to form their own Mastermind circles," Shauna Mackenzie, SCWBC program consultant, said.
