On July 23, the South Carolina Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Charleston will host "So You Want to Do Business With the Government," a seminar aimed at small businesses.
"We have an all-star line-up that will take you through the process step-by-step, beginning with registration/certification and ending with proposal to contract," information on the SBDC website said. "If you have any interest in doing business with the government or have been frustrated in past attempts, this is a workshop you do not want to miss."
The workshop will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the Lonnie Hamilton Building, 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston. Cost is $20.
Speakers will include Linda Blanton, consultant with the Procurement Technical Assistance Center at the Charleston Area SBDC; Robin Rourk, deputy director of the Office of Small Business Programs at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Atlantic; Cathy Edenborough, director of business operations and small business specialist for Joint Base Charleston; Jan Zeigler, representative with General Services Administration and Penny Leya, contracting officer with SPAWAR.
