The South Carolina Federal Credit Union (SCFCU) board of directors recently elected Rodney Druschel to be its chairman.
Druschel has worked in public accounting and industry for more than 40 years. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.
“It is a tremendous asset to our leadership team and South Carolina Federal Credit Union, to have the opportunity to work with a board and chairman of this caliber," Scott Woods, credit union president and CEO said. "The skill and dedication our volunteers bring to the table is truly invaluable.”
Druschel has been volunteering with the credit union since 2000. He has served on multiple committees including: the sales and marketing committee, supervisory committee, fee committee, governance and nominating, facilities, and the assets and liability committee.
With $1.3 billion in assets, the credit union is a community-based financial institution that serves Charleston, Dorchesterm Calhoun, Orangeburg, Georgetown and Berkeley Counties and a majority of Columbia. It has 17 branches and several ATMs across Charleston, Columbia and Georgetown. It is based in North Charleston, and has approximately 140,000 members that have accounts and partial ownership of the credit union.
