Carolina Financial Corporation recently announced that G. Manly Eubank has been appointed as the chairman of the company’s board of directors.
Eubank replaces Lt. General Claudius E. Watts III, who retired from the board of directors. Eubank’s appointment was made effective on April 29.
Eubank has served on the Carolina Financial Corporation’s board of directors since 1996.
“We’re pleased to welcome Manly to the position of chairman for our board of directors,” Carolina Financial Corporation CEO Jerry Rexroad said. “His knowledge of the organization and nearly 20 years of experience on our board make him a natural choice.”
Eubank was previously the president of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and president of the S.C. Automobile Dealers Association. He is the chairman of Palmetto Ford Inc. and has more than 44 years of experience in the automotive business within the Charleston, South Carolina, market. Eubank earned his degree at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Carolina Financial Corporation, based in Charleston, is the holding company of CresCom Bank and has 26 branches throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
Recently, Carolina Financial Company was number one on American Banker’s list of top-200 publicly traded community banks and thrifts with assists less than $2 billion.
