New senior assistant state treasurer appointed

Dayle DeLong has been appointed senior assistant state treasurer by South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis Jr. DeLong will be responsible for overseeing Palmetto Payback, South Carolina’s unclaimed-property program.

Dayle DeLong has been appointed senior assistant state treasurer by South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis Jr.

DeLong will be responsible for overseeing Palmetto Payback, South Carolina’s unclaimed-property program.

"Dayle’s extensive experience managing people, systems and resources makes her the perfect addition to our team,” Loftis said. “We’re fortunate to have the right person come aboard to help us increase efficiency and capacity.”

DeLong previously served in a number of management positions with the South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority. She has nearly 20 years of management experience in the government and private sectors.

She holds a bachelor's degree in office administration from the University of South Carolina, as well as a certified public manager credential.

DeLong is originally from Irmo, South Carolina, and previously served on the board of the South Carolina Society of Public Managers.
