Lewis-Goetz’s officials said Monday its acquisition of Action Industrial Group will add seven locations to the company's portfolio and enhance gasket fabrication technology in the Southeast.

Action is a South Carolina-based fabricator and distributor of fasteners, gaskets, hose products and industrial construction tools and supplies. The group employs 78 people and recorded $21.5 million in sales last year.

“This acquisition will build on our strength in the Southeast and expand our footprint into places like Memphis and Greenville,” Lewis-Goetz CEO and President Don Evans said. “We also look forward to expanding our industry focus into facility maintenance.”

With the alliance, Action Industrial Group will have the opportunity to expand its access to resources and potential to cross-sell its products.

“This acquisition opens up opportunities for both our employees and our customers,” Action CEO and President Jeff Nyman said. “The same team that our customers know and trust will have even more resources to enhance our level of service. We look forward to introducing our customers to Lewis-Goetz solutions as we continue to grow during this exciting time.”

As one of North America’s largest industrial distributors, Lewis-Goetz has made hoses, seals and belts since 1935. The company is owned by ERIKS North America.
