Phillips Staffing Founder and Chairman Sam B. Phillips recently received the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award from the South Carolina Staffing Association
“On behalf of the staffing companies and offices here in South Carolina and on behalf of all of the thousands of associates we employ, we believe that it is because of leaders like Sam Phillips that our industry continues to create and sustain thousands of good-paying, quality jobs for residents of the Palmetto State,” South Carolina Staffing Association President John Byrnes said. "For decades, Sam Phillips has stood tall for job creation in South Carolina, creating opportunity for thousands of families and helping to keep our state economy vibrant and growing.”
The South Carolina House of Representatives also honored Phillips and his son Blanton, current president and CEO of Phillips Staffing, along with the company's entire staff, with a resolution, lauding the staffing organization for its many years of contributions to the state, its residents and the local economy.
The staffing company has 10 offices and employs nearly 2,800 associates across the state and the Southeast.
Sam Phillips, a graduate of Furman University, founded the staffing organization in 1968.
Also honored at the association's banquet at the Capital City Club in Columbia, South Carolina, last week, was state Sen. Kevin Bryant, who was named the SCSA 2015 Legislator of the Year recipient for his contributions.
