Reginald Simmons, deputy executive and transportation director of the Central Midlands Council of Governments, recently launched the Regional Transit Needs Assessment and Feasibility Study Project newsletter. The focus of the study will be on the transportation needs of residents and employees living or working in Richland and Lexington Counties that currently do not have access to transit, Simmons said.
