Reserving a spot at the Aiken Chamber of Commerce’s Spring Business Academy will guarantee ticket holders access to a highly recommended local workshop Thursday — one with its “secret sauce” recipe for entrepreneurial improvement.
From 8 a.m. to noon at the Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation — located at 3000 The Reserve Club Drive — this “highly interactive” seminar will explain how to create a customer service culture: what the Chamber calls “the secret sauce in retaining employees and increasing your bottom line” and the theme for this event.
Lisa Tharp-Bernard, who serves as vice president of human resources nuclear and environment and MS talent management for AECOM — a South Carolina-based provider of engineering, consulting and project management services — will facilitate the workshop, covering communication matters, behavior styles, navigating interpersonal challenges and more.
“We are all in the business of service; whether it’s … running a storefront, or operating a small business out of your home,” Tharp-Bernard said. “[We] all have customers, clients and stakeholders … crucial to the success of our businesses.”
Workshop attendance is $35. Advance registration is required and may be made online at aikenchamber.net or by calling 803-641-1111. Drivers are advised to use 1419 Silver Bluff Road as an alternate address for inputting GPS directions in locating the club grounds.
