Clemson University hosted Charlotte Hornets President Fred Whitfield as a guest speaker at the Oct. 26 President’s Forum on Inclusive Excellence.
The forum is the first of a series, which will include biannual forums hosting corporate executives and leaders in the higher education field who bring with them experience on building success and inclusive organizations.
“Creating a diverse and inclusive environment is critical to the long-term success of Clemson,” Clemson President James Clements said. “The forum plays an essential role in that effort by serving as a vehicle for celebrating the value of inclusive excellence to the university, We are honored to have Fred Whitfield, one of the most accomplished sports executives in the country, as our speaker.”
Clemson’s Chief Inclusion and Equity Officer and Special Assistant to the President for Inclusive Excellence Lee Gill is responsible for the creation of the President’s Forum. The theme for the forums will be placing a high value on inclusiveness by successful CEOs and the organizations they run.
