Kiawah Partners today announced that Director of Human Resources Dixie Norris has been invited to serve on the “From the Voice of the Customer" panel at the Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) Association's National Board of Directors' Strategic Planning Retreat Sept. 21 in Chicago.
“We are thrilled to have Dixie representing our company on this esteemed panel,” Kiawah Partners' Chris Randolph said. “She has organized a forward looking comprehensive health care and wellness program for our employees, and brings a high level of expertise to the table.”
The three HR and benefits professionals, Norris, Ford Motor Company's Laura Swartzmiller and IBM's Barbara Brickmeier, will participate in a 90-minute panel with 40 BCBS board members. The panel is focused on employee expectations of health care providers, including how health insurance changes can benefit consumers.
“I am so proud that Kiawah Partners has made changes to our insurance strategy, enabling us to offer quality and affordable coverage to our employees," Norris said. "Health insurance is a real concern for most Americans, and the Affordable Care Act is forcing insurance companies and employers alike to take a hard look at their business models. By enlisting the perspective of human resources leaders across the country, BCBS is demonstrating their commitment to address the changing needs of their customers. I commend BCBS for taking this approach, and am hopeful that this panel will make a significant difference for not only their South Carolina customers, but also for their customers across the nation.”
