The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce ecently published a statement to celebrate the state’s local small businesses during Small Business Week 2016.
“The success of South Carolina as a state is directly tied to the success of our small businesses,” Chamber President Ted Pitts said. “More than 700,000 South Carolina jobs are created by our state’s small businesses and we appreciate those who take the risk to start a business and create jobs for our communities. Though we remain focused on small business issues year round, the state Chamber is proud to honor our small businesses this week. We remain committed to ensuring that they are supported and heard at the State House.”
The Chamber also promoted at 2016 Salute to Small Business event in Columbia, South Carolina this week.
“My wife Diana and I are proud to celebrate National Small Business Week in South Carolina,” Hal Stevenson, chairman of the Chamber's Small Business Council, said. “As small business owners in the Palmetto State, we know firsthand the trials and tribulations of owning and operating a small business — and we know just how important our success is to the success of the state as a whole. We are proud members of The state Chamber, which has given small business a voice at the State House, and we appreciate the Chamber’s continued support.”
