Eight attorneys from the Columbia-based law firm Fisher & Phillips recently received garnered national honors.
Partners Stephen C. Mitchell, Cheryl L. Behymer, Michael D. Carrouth, G. Daniel Ellzey, Jonathan P. Pearson and J. Hagood Tighe were included in the 2016 edition of South Carolina Super Lawyers, while partner C. Edward Rawl Jr. and associate Michael Greene were chosen as Rising Stars.
Rising Star honors are bestowed upon attorneys younger than 40 who have been practicing for less than a decade. South Carolina Super Lawyers is a list of the state's top lawyers; the publication is used as a resource for potential clients looking for attorneys.
Mitchell is the managing partner at the Columbia office of Fisher & Phillips; Behymer is co-chair of the firm’s Affirmative Action and Federal Contract Compliance Practice Group. Carrouth has worked with clients on union organizing matters in 29 states; Ellzey specializes in labor and employment law and OSHA compliance. Tighe practices labor and employment law exclusively. Pearson’s practice focuses on employment litigation before state and federal courts.
Greene is a member of the firm’s Affirmative Action and Federal Contract Compliance practice group; Rawl has served clients in cases involving employment disputes involving wrongful discharge and other employment-based claims.
