Eighty-seven new jobs will be created in Oconee County, South Carolina over the next five years as Baxter Enterprises and Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering set up operations.
The companies, both manufacturers and distributors of plastics, are owned by the Schulte family. Between the two, an investment of $20.7 million will be made in the new South Carolina facilities, which will be housed in an 87,000-square-foot plant in Oconoee County’s Oconee Industry and Technology Park off South Carolina Highway 11.
“Our company values our team members’ service, dedication and commitment to superior quality, engineering, mold making, injection molding and value-added assemblies,” Robert Schulte, who serves both companies as president and CEO, said. "We are excited to join the Oconee County community and look forward to serving our customers in the Carolina region at our new facility.”
Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering was launched in 1982 and specializes in the construction and repair of molds as well as mold servicing. Baxter Enterprises began operations in 1997 and is a manufacturing company focused on injection molded parts.
