Officials from the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce will speak to state legislators about the chamber's 2016 Competitiveness Agenda during a press conference at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The conference will be held on the front steps of the South Carolina State House. If the weather is inclement, it will be moved inside to the first-floor lobby.
The conference will be led by Ted Pitts, chamber president, and John Uprichard, chair of the chamber's board. Others at the conference will be Mikee Johnson, a former chamber chairman, and Hal Stevenson, the chamber's small business committee chair, in addition to local business leaders.
After the conference at the statehouse, Pitts and Uprichard plan to go to the Michelin plant in upstate South Carolina to lead another press conference concerning the agenda there.
Those planning to attend either conference are asked to email email@example.com.
