A new slate of officers for 2016 has been chosen by the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA).
“We have great momentum leading us into next year, and I’m excited about the new opportunities that are on the horizon for our members,” Ashley M. Dusenbury, 2016 SCPRSA president, said. “The knowledge and diverse experience of each of our doard members will help us reach new heights in 2016.”
Dusenbury, who works for Columbia's Palmetto Health Foundation, will be supported by President-elect Kelly Davis of Riggs Partners, Columbia; Immediate Past President Karen Potter of Greenville Health System, Greenville; VP of Communications Blanche Sullivan of BFG Communications, Hilton Head Island; VP of Finance Beth Thomason of Thomason PR, Greenville; VP, Membership, Bianca Crawford, The Crawford Austin Agency, Columbia; VP of Professional Development Bobby Rettew of Gray Digital Group, Anderson; Ethics Officer Adrienne Fairwell, S.C. Department of Commerce, Columbia; Lowcountry Regional Director Philicia Baugh of The Baugh Agency, Charleston; Midlands Regional Director Allison Atkins of LRADAC, Columbia, and Upstate Regional Director Nisha Patel of Crawford Strategy, Greenville.
Dusty Acosta of Greenville, who is now retired; Penny Cothran, of the S.C. Chamber of Commerce, Columbia; and Brett Turner of Fluor in Greenville, will serve as Leadership Assembly Delegates.
Sarah Moore of Complete Public Relations, Greenville, was tapped to chair SCPRSA’s Mercury Awards, which will are set for April 28. The organization's fall professional development conference will be headed up by chair Elizabeth Gibbes of Children’s Trust of South Carolina, Columbia.
Rounding out the new slate will be Accreditation Chair Tonita Perry of Eaddy Perry & Associates, Florence.
