Precision Metal Fabricators, Inc., plans to invest $500,000 in Barnwell County by expanding its operations there.
“South Carolina continues to lead the nation’s manufacturing renaissance, and today’s announcement by Precision Metal Fabricators reinforces that notion," South Carolina Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said. "We congratulate Precision Metal Fabricators on all of their success and look forward to supporting them as they continue to thrive in our state.”
Precision will move to a larger plant, at 201 State St. in Williston, and will add 19 new jobs over the next five years. The company, which is owned by service disabled veterans, opened in 1990.
The new plant will be almost three times the size of Precision's previous location. The move is expected to be completed sometime in January.
Hiring for the new jobs is set to begin soon; those interested in applying should email HR@PMF-Inc.com.
“Over the last 25 years, Precision Metal Fabricators, Inc., has had a vision to continuously improve customer service, quality and processes through ingenuity and dedication," Precision Metal Fabricators President Alan King said. "By understanding the value of human capital and staying true to our original vision, Precision Metal Fabricators has grown from a 5,000-square-foot warehouse with four employees to a large-scale contract manufacturing facility with a wide customer base that spans into many industries."
