Charleston-based Gravina Public Strategies LLC, an advocacy and public engagement firm, has garnered four W³ Awards for online advocacy campaigns it managed for clients throughout the nation.
“We’re always honored to be recognized by our peers, and fortunate to work with great clients that allow us to build innovative campaigns,” Curt Mercadante, Gravina’s principal and founder, said. “Each of these winning campaigns embodies our philosophy of delivering measurable results by actively engaging citizens with our clients’ stories and messages.”
Gravina earned Gold and Silver W³ awards for its integrated online advocacy campaign for the Affordable Pharmacy Action Network; a Silver W³ Award for its work on the Facebook engagement for the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform’s “Faces of Lawsuit Abuse” campaign; and a Silver W³ Award for a digital voter education campaign the company managed for the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.
The W³ Awards are sponsored and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts. AIVA members include executives from organizations such as AgencyNet, AvatarLabs, Big Spaceship, Block Media, Conde Nast, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Fry Hammond Barr, Microsoft, MTV Networks, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby's Institute of Art, Wired and Yahoo!
“We were amazed at the caliber and quality of work we received this year from the smallest agencies to the biggest firms worldwide," IAVA Director Linda Day said. "As the web continues to expand in new and exciting ways, our winners continue to truly push the envelope of Internet creativity and web design."
