G. Hamlin O’Kelley III from Buist, Byars & Taylor was recently reappointed as commissioner of the South Carolina Real Estate Commission.
Gov. Nikki Haley selected him for the post with the South Carolina Senate's confirmation. As the commissioner, O’Kelley will be an at-large member and vice chairman during the term that lasts until June 2018.
The goal of the South Carolina Real Estate Commission is the regulation of the state’s real estate industry to protect the interests of the public when they conduct real estate transactions.
O’Kelley, as a partner of Buist, Byars & Taylor LLC, currently has a Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent AV Rating. He is based at the firm’s Mt. Pleasant office where he monitors the company’s property litigation practice and also represents several property owners’ and homeowners’ associations.
