Michael Drohan, of South State Bank, and Stephen Polston, of AstenJohnson, recently joined the board of directors for East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO), a Charleston, South Carolina, non-profit organization.
“I’m very pleased to welcome Mike and Steve onto the board, and look forward to the professional skills and community experience they will bring,” ECCO board President Giff Daughtridge, who is also vice president and general manager of Nucor Steel Berkeley, said.
Drohan brings 25 years of experience in the banking world, as well as five years as a business owner, to the table, and is currently heading up the Charleston Retail/Private Banking areas at South State Bank. Polston has served in a variety of financial leadership positions throughout his career, including his current work as the senior vice president and chief financial officer at AstenJohnson. Both new members have previously served on non-profit boards.
“As we commemorate 25 years serving those in need, ECCO continues to make a tremendous impact in the community by adapting to the changing economic environment and providing the necessary tools for financially distressed individuals to reach their greatest potential,” Daughtridge said. “Our new board members have joined the ECCO during a significant and exciting time of innovation and progress.”
